Written by Cheryl Wolanin Sopko

Respiratory Services Liaison

FROM PATIENTS TO FAMILY

Respiratory Therapist are an integral part of the patient care team, specializing in the heart and lungs.  Working together with the physicians, NP’s, bedside nurses and other care team members, RTs concentrate on assisting with the ventilator management and providing ordered respiratory therapy. RT’s in ICUs work with specialized gases such as inhaled nitric oxide for pulmonary hypertension, providing CPT (chest physiotherapy) to prevent atelectasis (lung collapse) and breathing treatments.

There is nothing more important than your loved one’s health, safety and accomplishing their milestones.  Day in and day out, we provide our skilled staff to handle your medically fragile child or adult family member’s special care needs. Our focus each day is on the individual that we serve.

Our team is not only highly skilled, but also caring and compassionate about what they do ( We do what we love because we love what we do). Our team members are chosen specifically based on their training , interests and abilities related to caring for medically fragile children and adults in the home.

Here at HCP, we also offer continuous access to educational opportunities and on- going refresh courses for our caregivers.
