Our Ambassador
Kylie Simmons
Smiling and Thriving
At birth Kylie was diagnosed with a rare condition called Pulmonary Hypertension. Born at 24 weeks and weighing only 1lb 4 oz she has always been the more complex twin.
As a result of her condition, Kylie received a Trach months after being born, is fed through a G- Tube, is on Oxygen throughout the day and uses the support of a Trilogy Ventilator.
“ Since birth, Kylie has been all smiles while fighting this journey of progression. Although we know this is only another chapter of Kylie life, she is thriving daily and beating the odds. Kylie has been our miracle baby and the highlight of many lives”.
Pulmonary Hypertension ( PH) is a type of high blood pressure that affects the arteries in the lungs and heart. As a rare condition with fewer than 500-1000 new cases per year in the US, this condition can be managed with medications and oxygen therapies, which help lessen the symptoms and improve quality of life.
